Northeast Regional Adult Amateur Team and Individual Dressage              Championships and Northeast Regional Junior Team and Individual Dressage Championships October 11th – 13th, 2019

The Northeast Regional Adult Amateur Dressage Championship [NRADC] and the Northeast Regional Junior Dressage Championship [NRJDC] have two divisions in the respective championships – Team and Individual.

Riders can compete in both the Team and Individual Championship or just the Team Championship. The difference between the two championship is the Individual Championship includes a freestyle. The Team Championship can have three or four riders, who can be a mix of all the test levels. If your team has four riders, the lowest score is dropped. The top three scores determine the team score. Individual Championship winners are determined by combining their Team dressage test and their Individual freestyle test. The Individual Freestyle Test can be ridden either Friday or Sunday. FEI riders will use the 4th level freestyle for the Individual Championship.

To qualify for either the Northeast Regional Adult Amateur Championship [team of 3 or 4 and/or individual] or the Northeast Regional Junior Championship [team of 3 or 4 and/or individual], a rider has to submit two scores of a minimum of 60% in any test of the level they intend to compete in. The qualifying time period is from October 10, 2018 to October 1, 2019.

In the championship, riders must perform the highest test of their level. The qualifying scores can be earned at either recognized or schooling show, and horse trials. The judge must be at least a USDF “L” graduate for a schooling show to qualify.

The $150.00 entry fee provides entry in both the Team and Individual Championships, which can include three rides: a schooling show ride on Friday, the highest test of the level on Saturday and individual freestyle on Sunday.

Entry into the respective championship is accomplished by simply identifying their team name on the show entry form. Entry questions may be addressed to the show secretary.
